A timeless shade of “Escalade Pearl!” Daniel put the electronics back into place ever so delicately, and voila! His Fender Stratocaster was back in action. He looked Daniel in his eyes, with a reluctant sigh, and replied, “Come into the garage, let’s see what we’re working with.” Long story short, he helped Daniel paint the guitar. Replying, “Sir, will you help me paint my new guitar? It’s purple! Please! My parents think it’s blue!” Sweat dripping down the sides of his face he exclaimed, “Please, don’t tell my parents!” His friends father being a bit skeptical at first, but mainly intrigued. He asked, “What do you have there?” Daniel worked up the courage to make the words come out. His friends father stepped out of his truck, as he had just gotten off of work, and looked at Daniel up and down. With Daniel’s determination, and pure adrenaline at this point he proceeded up the driveway holding onto his guitar tightly. This particular friends father just so happened to work for Cadillac, as a mechanic mainly doing paint jobs on the luxury brands vehicles. With a plan in mind he took all the parts, body, and neck, wrapped the guitar parts up in pillowcases, and quickly, walked to his friends house down the street. That’s when he received the recognition he needed! Nevertheless, Daniel decided to bring his new guitar to school for a project, and played for all his classmates, but in the end this guitar was clearly purple, and all of the kids at school saw purple too. Unfortunately, colorshift, was non existent, at least, as far as he knew, and we didn’t have the idea of doing the color shift project until 2020. As much as he tried to squint, or pray, the guitar didn’t turn blue throughout the several passing months. He was stoked he got a brand new Fender Strat! Regardless of the color, in his mind, it was a Fender Stratocaster, and Daniel’s known character, is not of being ungrateful. Daniel couldn’t see past the color, but shook it off.

On Daniel’s 9th birthday, as a combined Birthday/Christmas present, along with all the money he had saved from mowing lawns, Daniel’s parents surprised him with a brand new, Mexican made, Fender Stratocaster! Daniel took a look at his first ‘big name brand’ guitar, and it was, beautiful, but, well, this guitar was well, this guitar was purple! Purple as purple gets! His parents- to this day, believe the guitar to have been blue.
